I know what’s blocking you from living out your potential

The ego is afraid of the soul expanding.

What does that mean? Well, the dreams we have for ourselves are often connected to our soul’s calling in this life.

When we listen and take action toward those dreams, automatically, we move out of our comfort zone.

The ego doesn’t like this.

That’s because the ego loves comfort. Specifically this comfort is found in identification with form, with “who you are”.

The ego is constantly trying to fit our actions and the way we present ourselves into this box.

When the ego is challenged with change that doesn’t “fit”, the ego’s natural response is to cling to identification with what it knows and to defend its position.

It will raise flags and say things like:

“This isn’t who you are.”

“You’re pretending to be someone you’re not.”

“You need to turn back.”

The key thing here is to recognize this voice as the ego, not your true self.

Your true self wants to grow, evolve and expand. Your true self wants to try many things, to put itself out there and live out its potential.

Notice how, when I say this, you will either feel deep resonance or resistance and judgment.

Deep resonance is the soul recognizing itself. Resistance and judgment is of the ego.

Fear also belongs to the ego, and in discovering this when it flares up, you enable yourself to upgrade – and that is ultimately what we’re all here to do. It’s a universal truth for all human beings.

Overcoming this state – in other words, winning over the ego – is very simple once you first acknowledge it.

Acknowledgment is the key: to become aware of when the ego is talking and simply tune into your own presence – the one observing it as it unfolds.
